About Me

Hi there,
The layers of my life are many and varied. You wouldn’t get your teeth round my sandwich!
I have enjoyed many years of leading pre-school music groups. With 500 children per week in 37 groups for several years, a lot of you out there may remember me.
I have been a children’s librarian in Edgware and a local history librarian in Leicester where I edged into radio work, becoming full time free-lance until Nottingham’s Radio Trent asked me to do their news reading.
I have enjoyed  21 years of marriage to David , a software engineer, and together we have had many adventures of faith and seen God really active in our lives.
At times I have been the bread winner with just a few commissions per week for my water colour paintings and in the early days, writing a few non-fiction books.
Now. just over 10 years since David’s body died and the real him went ON, I’m back into local radio, into painting( in oils this time), writing Public Pulpits for the Review, singing in the St.Albans Operatic Society, and going into schools to take interactive Christian form times. Oh yes, and I teach piano.
See what I mean about the layers of life!  I really am enjoying this later life !
